Quikr acquires beauty, wellness brand ZapLuk

Quikr, a cross-category classifieds business, has acquired ZapLuk, a provider of on-demand beauty and wellness services, for an undisclosed sum. The company offers beauty services under the QuikrServices vertical and this acquisition will help it strengthen its beauty services brand AtHomeDiva.

Quikr, a cross-category classifieds business, has acquired ZapLuk, a provider of on-demand beauty and wellness services, for an undisclosed sum. The company offers beauty services under the QuikrServices vertical and this acquisition will help it strengthen its beauty services brand AtHomeDiva.

This is Quikr’s second acquisition in the beauty services segment this year, following Salosa, to cater to the fast growth of beauty services requests on its vertical QuikrServices, Quikr said in a statement.

Zapluk is an on-demand mobile app to conveniently discover and book appointments for beauty and wellness services at chosen time & location — be it home, office or hotel. With the use of technology, Zapluk brings beauty & wellness services, along with highly-vetted professionals directly to the doorstep of its customers.

With this acquisition, Quikr will now offer a full range of on-demand home beauty services to consumers in multiple cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Gurgaon and Hyderabad.

“ZapLuk’s operational strengths, trained pool of stylists and professionals and highly-engaged user base in the Chennai and Hyderabad markets will allow us to expand the reach of our AtHomeDiva brand in these markets rapidly,” P D Sundar, head of QuikrServices, said.
