In a stunning move by the fast food giant Pizza Hut, the employees have come to the rescue of the people to offer pan pizza slices along with a glass of water to keep them hydrated while they stand in long queues outside banks while exchanging their Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes which now stands defunct.
The most amazing factor is that these pizzas are for free. Does this mean that Pizza Hut which is a multinational restaurant chain based out of Plano in Texas is supporting the government of India’s plan to withdraw Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes as a direct crackdown to black money? Well, teh answer cannot be known. What can be deduced from this is that, with this the spirit of the people in the queues and also that of the bankers will be chilled out and frequent fights at the counters may be avoided.
The employees of the restaurant chain visited popular banks at Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru today. This initiative has got an overwhelming response and high appreciation because of which Pizza Hut will repeat it for tomorrow and day after.
This is certainly a good step from the part of Pizza Hut from the business strategy and promotion point of view.
