The bid was opened at the BCCI marketing committee meeting on Thursday. Micromax had won the title sponsorship rights for 2014-15 for Rs 18 crore. From now on, the domestic Ranji competition will be known as ‘Paytm Ranji Trophy’. According to sources, there were two bidders for the title sponsorship.
Micromax’s bid was not opened because their papers were incomplete. India will host South Africa later this year, which will be the start of the international season in association with Paytm.
