Marriott International Celebrates One Million Mobile Check-Ins With A Sweepstakes Across Its Portfolio of Brands

To celebrate its millionth mobile check-in using the Marriott Mobile app, Marriott International (NASDAQ:MAR) is announcing a sweepstakes across its portfolio of brands at hotels in India and ten other countries.

To celebrate its millionth mobile check-in using the Marriott Mobile app, Marriott International (NASDAQ:MAR) is announcing a sweepstakes across its portfolio of brands at hotels in India and ten other countries.

Marriott Rewards or Ritz-Carlton Rewards members who reside in a variety of countries all over the world can check in with the Marriott Mobile app for a stay at any Marriott hotel in 11 participating countries (Austria, Canada, China, France, India, Mexico, Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom) that offer mobile check-in are entered in the lucky draw running from now to December 31, 2015. The special offer extends across the 14 brands including JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels, and Marriott Hotels.

Every month, five Marriott Rewards members will be awarded 50,000 points each. A grand prize winner will be awarded 250,000 points in January 2016. Winners of the giveaway Marriott Rewards points can redeem them for a host of benefits, including upgrades and complimentary room nights at 3,700 hotels in over 70 countries.  For example, 50,000 points could be used for stays such as two nights at JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa in India and SpringHill Suites Las Vegas Convention Center in the USA. Room upgrades can also be redeemed on the spot, with benefits extending to spa pampering, golfing, fine dining, air tickets, car hire, cruises, holiday packages and shopping – including top brands from Apple, Nikon and Canon to designers like Michael Kors and Prada.

Guests can check-in after 4 pm the day before their arrival and will receive an automatic notification when their room is ready. To kick off the sweepstakes, Marriott partnered with What’s Trending founder and host Shira Lazar and Jeana Smith, founder of Prank vs. Prank to give the millionth mobile check-in guest the surprise of a lifetime. Marriott Rewards member Hunter Swift and his wife, Tina, checked in to the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A.
