UPSC result 2016: One of the most popular competitive examinations in India that is taken by virtually everyone who goes through the grind of higher education in the country has had its preliminary result announced today. We are of course talking about the results of civil services preliminary examination, which was declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This examination virtually takes the entire year to be conducted as it has various stages to go through with candidates required to clear each and every one of them with flying colors. The UPSC conducts the civil services examination in three stages – Preliminary, Mains and finally the Interview. Those who make it to the last stage and clear it too are selected as officers in various services of the government of India including of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and more – these however, are the top-most choices of the candidates year in and year out as trends have shown over long periods of time.
The next step for these successful candidates is to get themselves registered online. They need to visit the UPSC website and fill up the detailed form. This process has to be gone through carefully as it will then clear their validity for the next stage of the exam. Those who have cleared the prelims exam must fill the application form which will be made be made available to them on UPSC website starting October 7. This window will be open till October 20 with the time lapsing after 6.00 PM latest.
Successful candidates, who will now be appearing for the Main civil services examination will need to get their e-admit card and the process for this needs to be completed online. Candidates will also get the time table of the test – the final dates will be uploaded on UPSC website and all eligible candidates should start looking for it starting about 2 weeks ahead of the start of the examination.
Those who are anxious to find out about their marks, cut-off marks and answer keys of screening test should know that they will get access to all these only on the UPSC website and that too only after final result of Civil Services Examination, 2016 has been declared.
