Indigo announces launch of 24 new flights

Budget carrier IndiGo, which recently became the third domestic airline with 100-aircraft fleet, today announced the launch of 24 new flights on its domestic network which include first daily non-stop flight between Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.

IndiGo will also introduce additional daily non-stop flights from Bengaluru to Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad besides launching services on the Bhubaneswar – Kolkata and Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram routes, the airline said in a release.

Budget carrier IndiGo, which recently became the third domestic airline with 100-aircraft fleet, today announced the launch of 24 new flights on its domestic network which include first daily non-stop flight between Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.

The introduction of these new flights would help IndiGo cross 650 flights mark as the it would offer a total of 671 flights per day connecting 39 destinations.

IndiGo will also introduce additional daily non-stop flights from Bengaluru to Visakhapatnam, Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad besides launching services on the Bhubaneswar – Kolkata and Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram routes, the airline said in a release.

Flights on these routes as well as Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram route will come into operations from tomorrow, it said.

With effect from January 14, IndiGo will launch its sixth daily non-stop flight between Chennai and Hyderabad, it said adding it will also launch 10 flights on January 15, connecting Bengaluru to Kolkata, Delhi to Ahmedabad, Delhi to Bengaluru, Delhi to Kolkata and Hyderabad to Mumbai.

“It gives me immense pleasure in announcing new non-stop flight between Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram-Delhi. People of Kerala can now fly directly into Delhi with convenient timings and affordable fares. In addition, the new frequencies connecting the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Vishakhapatnam and Ahmedabad will offer much improved connectivity and choice across the IndiGo network,” IndiGo President Aditya Ghosh said.

    It would be a great help to all the people of Odisha and the neighbouring states, if Indigo launches daily flight from Bhubaneswar to Pune and back, as there are a big number of IT professionals of Odisha working at Pune and parents are at their base city Bhubaneswar.
