SPN India realigns key portfolios: Sony Pictures Networks (SPN) India has re-aligned its key management portfolios. Rohit Gupta has been appointed president, network sales & international business. Neeraj Arora, business head for SPN’s international business will now report to Gupta. Rajesh Kaul is now president, distribution and sports, with Prasana Krishnan, business head for sports now reporting into him. “This realignment is configured to further our global business ambitions,” said NP Singh, CEO, SPN.
Fox assigns creative duties to Cheil: Cheil India has been appointed as the creative agency of Fox Networks Group India’s flagship channels — National Geographic Channel and Fox Life. “Cheil India’s integrated approach coupled with its understanding of our brands made it the perfect partner to steer our creative mandate,” said Swati Mohan, business head – India, Fox Networks Group. Shiv Sethuraman, group president, South West Asia, Cheil, said, “We aim to drive two of the most incredible brands a notch higher.”
ZEEL expands in the US
Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has formed an agreement with Dish and Sling TV to strengthen its existing presence in the US market. Dish and Sling TV will now carry 27 new channels in addition to the existing 10 Zee channels, which will be available in varied languages. Post this alliance, the total number of Zee channels available in the US market will be 37 with a combined reach of 52 million homes (English and Spanish households). Over time, Sling TV will become the exclusive OTT provider in the US for all but one of ZEE’s South Asian channels.
Maxus appoints Vivek Ballabh as GM, digital, North
Global marketing communications consultancy Maxus has appointed Vivek Ballabh as the GM – digital for North India. He joins from Cheil India where he managed the media operations for multiple clients. In a career spanning over 14 years, he has worked with various companies including Monster.com, Webchutney, Digitas & Razorfish etc. He has worked with like HP, Samsung, AMD, Frito-Lays, 7Up, Microsoft and Makemytrip.com among others.
Infectious wins creative duties of ditto TV
Infectious has been signed on as the communications partner for ditto TV. Infectious will be responsible for all its marketing and communication. dittoTV is a platform of Zee Digital Convergence Limited (ZDCL).
