Telecom operator Idea has launched a new ‘Validity Accumulation’ feature that allows user to purchase a plan for multiple times and continue using it for longer validity. The feature launched by Idea is somewhat similar to Reliance Jio’s ‘My Voucher’ where the customer had two voucher options – one at Rs 309 and another at Rs 509. The plan would let users purchasing the voucher store it in the stored vouchers menu and then allow allow him/her to use the plan at a later date. The brilliance of the plan was the idea that a purchaser could buy a plan and could recharge it even after the ongoing plan’s expiry date. Idea has also introduced a similar plan that would allow users recharge plan multiple times and use it later with Idea’s ‘Validity Accumulation’ scheme, according to Telecomtalk.info.
Idea has launched a Rs 398 plan that offers unlimited local and STD calls, 100 SMS per day, 1GB data per day and free roaming for 70 days from the date of inception. The ‘Validity Accumulation’ exclusively launched by Idea lets user implement the Rs 398 plan multiple times. For instance, if users recharge with a single Rs 398 plan, they can use it for 70 days but if they recharge with Rs 398 twice then the user has the option of using the plan for 140 days and if the user recharge it for the third time another 70 days will be added to the existing plan. It is unclear for how many times one can purchase the plan but Idea has clarified that one has to recharge with Rs 796 to use the Rs 398 plan for 140 days and another Rs 398 will be added to Rs 796 for choosing to use the plan for 210 days.
Idea also has come up with a prepaid plan that is particularly designed for users who has excessive data demands. The plan also offers outgoing calls and SMSes for free. Price of the plan is yet unknown but is believed to be within the range of Rs 300-400, the plan offers 1.5GB data per day, unlimited outgoing and free-roaming STD calls for 28 days. The plan also offers several benefits like 100 per cent cashback and an additional 1GB data on recharging via ‘My Idea’ app and through the Idea’s official website.
