Bengaluru, Oct 27: IBM on Thursday announced the acquisition of Bengaluru-headquartered cloud technology company Sanovi Technologies for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2003, Sanovi has its presence in Bengaluru, US, Middle East and Asia. This privately held company provides hybrid cloud recovery, cloud migration and business continuity software for enterprise data centers and cloud infrastructure.

This is one of the rare instances in which IBM has acquired an India based technology company.
On completing the acquisition, by the end of 2016, IBM plans to integrate the Sanovi capabilities into the IBM Global Tech.
