Costa Coffee and leading publisher HarperCollins India today announced a tie-up for promoting reading and release of books by bringing coffee and book lovers together.
‘Love Coffee Love Books’ is the first theme launched under this partnership.
Timed to coincide with the upcoming Valentine’s Day, the event here was attended by many bestselling authors like Anuja Chauhan, Devapriya Roy, Lavanya Raghunathan, Meenakshi Reddy Madhavan, Mridula Koshy and Ruchita Misra who spoke on the topic ‘Romance Beyond the Fairy Tales’.
As a part of the Books ‘n’ Bean initiative, Costa Coffee plans to start a Book Club at its cafes, wherein customers can enjoy book reading sessions and interact with authors besides a dedicated book space for coffee lovers to browse through a range of titles.
Fans and followers can also attend book launches and interact with their favourite authors during the “Author Meet n Greet Sessions”.
Ananth Padmanabhan, CEO of HarperCollins India, said, “A good book and a good cup of coffee and talking about books over coffee, what’s not to love! It’s going to be a great space to catch authors live and ‘taste’ some of the finest writing from around the world, along with Costa delicious food and drinks. It’s a perfect combination.”
“We plan to promote many literary genres through this partnership – some of them being romance, health, lifestyle, sports and Bollywood,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Virag Joshi, CEO & President, Devyani International Ltd., said “Costa takes pride in announcing this tie-up with HarperCollins. This initiative is a testament to the timeless relationship between books and coffee.
