W+K Delhi cements new leadership team
Wieden+Kennedy Delhi has put together its new leadership team. Sidharth Loyal has been appointed as the MD. He takes the reins from current MD Patrick Cahill, who will return to W+K, US. Long time W+K Delhi creative Shuchi Thakur has been appointed as ECD. Partnering with her is Molona Wati Longchar as ECD. Prior to this, she was as a consultant with visual communications firm Design Stash.

Punit Goenka elected new IBF president
At the 17th annual general meeting of The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF), Punit Goenka (MD and CEO, ZEEL) was elected as the president. He replaces Uday Shankar. The IBF board also elected Rajat Sharma (India TV), NP Singh (Sony Pictures Networks), Sudhanshu Vats (Viacom18), K Madhavan (Asianet Communications) as vice presidents for the next one year.

Viacom18 to launch MTV Beats
Viacom18’s new music channel MTV Beats is set to go on air. While the 24×7 channel will cater to varied music tastes, it will predominantly focus on Bollywood music. In another report, the network has completed its merger of Prism TV, thus integrating five regional channels in its fold — Colors Kannada, Colors Marathi, Colors Bangla, Colors Odiya and Colors Gujarati.
