Online food delivery company Foodpanda has signed up Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as its brand ambassador. The company in a press statement said that the association with the actor as its brand ambassador will start with a brand new TVC to be launched later this week on all platforms, a PTI report said. The company did not provide any details. “We feel that this brand association between Foodpanda and Shah Rukh will provide further impetus to our determination to change the way India eats,” the company’s CEO Saurabh Kochhar was quoted as saying by the agency.
He added that the company will continue to put more focus on strengthening food ordering and delivery experience. Currently, the company has menus from more 12,000 restaurants across 100 cities in India available on its website as well as the app, it added.
Last month, the company had launched a new version of its mobile application for the Indian customers.This us available for update on Google Play Store service with a number of improvements for users.
After the updation of the new app, users in the country can get more options on home screens including the list of restaurants, multiple banners for filters, live discounts and exclusive deals. Users can also now get to decide on their food preferences with filter banner and the details about a partner profile can be seen using restaurant banner.

The latest app will also have an information banner which will show trending offers of the day at the restaurants. Users can also use image filters to choose between a number of deals, express deliveries and choice options.
