Flipkart has appointed Nitin Seth as its chief people officer, a position that was vacant for the last three months. In his new role, Seth will lead the human resource team and will report to CEO Binny Bansal.

Mekin Maheshwari, Flipkart’s earlier chief people officer, was the highest paid employee drawing R18.73 crore in annual remuneration during 2014-15. Saikiran Krishna Murthy, COO, Flipkart, was until now handling the human resource team.

“I am confident that Nitin will play a key role in enabling the team at Flipkart to fulfill our long term mission of transforming commerce in India through technology,” said Bansal.
