The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) today congratulated Theresa May on her taking over as the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) today congratulated Theresa May on her taking over as the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

FICCI assures its continued cooperation and commitment towards deepening business synergies with the UK, which has remained India’s valued economic partner.”

May assumed charge as Britain’s second woman Prime Minister on Wednesday and immediately announced changes in the Cabinet. The new cabinet appointments are as follows: Chancellor – Philip Hammond Home Secretary – Amber Rudd Foreign Secretary – Boris Johnson Defence Secretary – Michael Fallon Secretary of State for exiting the European Union – David Davis International Trade Secretary – Liam Fox.
