Droom, an online marketplace to buy and sell used cars, bikes, scooters, bicycles, and aero planes has teamed up Uber to make an entry into the burgeoning Punjab market for supercars.
Incidentally, only yesterday, Uber had announced at Progressive Punjab Investors Summit 2015 its major expansion plans for Punjab where the company would train 50,000 male and 50,000 female drivers for jobs in India and abroad.
Rishab Malik, Co-founder and VP-Business Development, Droom told here that “Droom will offer ‘Supercars on Demand’ which will give Uber riders an opportunity to ride exquisite cars like Audis, Hummers, Bentleys, and Porsches. This launch will mark the expansion of the company in the Punjab region and sellers and buyers will now be able to transact on Droom’s platform for buying and selling automobiles, including bikes, cars, and even planes”.
Droom, which currently has presence in 47 cities, besides giving access to users to a wide range of automobiles, it also helps users with consultation services through ‘Droom Assist’, a special platform that provides expert advice and suggestions to people looking to buy an automobile with specific requirements.
Rishab Malik informed about Droom that that the Company was founded in April 2014 in Silicon Valley and it is India’s first online marketplace to buy and sell new and used automobiles and automobile services. Droom takes a completely innovative and disruptive approach to building trust and pricing advantages for buyers. With its technology-driven marketplace approach, Droom enables transactions between buyers and sellers by bringing transparency, building trust and mitigating information asymmetry.
