Jubilant FoodWorks Limited on Tuesday, at its annual Food Concall, announced that the prices of any of its products would not be hiked till December. The company stated that the food industry had already taken a large hit due to increasing prices. It also informed the consumers that a bunch of new products has been added to the already vast menu. The Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. is also set to announce 130-140 Dominos’ Stores in the financial year 2017. It will add to the 36 newly installed Dominos’ in the year so far. The company also said that the “Burger Pizza” was an attempt to create a new category.
Talking about investing in new technology to improve the supply chain functions, the company revealed that they were working towards improving on the newly deployed Speech recognition order taking mechanism. It was also revealed at the Concall by Jubilant Foodworks Ltd. that average online ordering stood at 44% while mobile users contributed to 41% of these orders. The company is also reported to have enablers to drive growth through efficiency in the current financial year and more.
The company said that the weak customer sentiment had hurt the business, whereas the same-store -sales have gone down due to the prevailing economic conditions. The Goods and Service Tax bill are said to give the business a boost but the company said that it wouldn’t be possible to quantify the impact before that time comes. The company remains hopeful of a better response from the consumers following the devised changes in its policies.
