From venturing into grocery shopping, eCommerce major Amazon has looked up to greener pastures now to ensure it wins the battle against competitor Flipkart. With the launch of the Global Store, the company will now also deliver products from brands based in the US also. This addition will draw applause from shoppers as well as give Amazon India an edge in the market.
The company claims that with this development, Amazon will become the single destination to order both local and global products in India. A user can choose from a range of US based brands to order at Amazon and the delivery will take 2-4 four business days to deliver it at your doorstep.
Amazon CEO Amit Agarwal said “It takes you more time to pack your bags, travel to a country, shop and come back. You can get products faster than that which is unbelievable.”
Agarwal claims that the company is trying to bring the same ease of delivery with US based brands that is in local ones. Presently, a some four million global products that are delivered in the US Amazon can be chosen from.
Adding on about the benefits of the new range, the CEO says that with the Global Store, customers will be able to enjoy offers that run in US’ festive seasons, say Black Friday and Christmas. These deliveries further will state all the prices including import fee deposits so that the customer knows his exact expenses.
