The job

Passion, fun and an unending quest define my regular day at office. Nothing excites me more than finding ways to change the game. I am a hunter who would rather take a risk to achieve the unimagined versus being a farmer who only yields the expected crop. Naturally, this involves working closely with the team, analysing lot of data, challenging existing benchmarks and attempting to score newer ways to engage audiences. I have learnt to work closely with young minds (under 30s) because their perspectives are more aligned with the future.

The weekdays

Weekdays are split into squash (three times a week) and non-squash days. After the morning mandate of tea with my wife and newspaper, I initiate my day with the “Nam Myoho Renge Kyo” (Nichiren Daishonin Buddhism) chanting. The day typically includes meetings with various stakeholders followed by lunch. I then take a walk around the office and catch up on gossip and news. I keep a track of the digital world with reviews and plan the way forward with a cup of coffee. I leave office by 7.15pm and spend time with family over dinner and then head to the library for documentaries /TED talks/science and tech news.

The weekend

Morning squash/ the infrequent corporate cricket match is a fine way to start my weekend. I spend some time with my wife, daughter and mother at home followed by a lazy Sunday evening. A night out with my wife and dear friends for drinks (house party) topped with a huge doze of laughter completes the weekend.

The toys

BMW GT gives the required torque to my passion for toys.

The logos

Clarks for formal footwear, Asics for sports, Zara for semi-formals, Oakleys for shades and casual wear.
