Home appliances online megastore HomePunch looks to cook up a storm

With over 300 brands and over 5000 registered e-tailers on board, the platform offers multiple fulfillment options in 4,000 cities and 5,000 towns

HomePunch is an Indian online home appliances megastore, offering a wide variety of small appliances. Launched in March 2016 by Amerex Pvt Ltd, it was founded by Sachin Goel, who has earlier worked with some of the best brands known in India and overseas, including HCL Infosystems, Dell and LG Electronics.

The product portfolio of HomePunch includes home comfort items, cooking essentials, healthcare products, personal grooming kits, dining ware, cookware, a home décor range and storage and organisers. To add to the overall customer experience, it has a ‘Help and Advice’ section which offers a brief guide on everything that a buyer needs to know about the products on offer, from shopping guides to appliance care tips, recipes made for the cooking appliances on its platform and a blog around customers’ stories.

The company bridges the void in the online e-commerce eco-system by empowering consumers to make informed decisions and helping them buy genuine and latest products with brand assurances and service warranties. It also bolsters the business prospects of brands and retailers by addressing their concerns with respect to e-commerce in India. HomePunch allows brands to manage products directly on the portal, thus ensuring a mutually-beneficial single-pricing model.

Goel’s goal is to ensure that the brand reaches out to consumers in the most-informed manner and addresses their concerns to the fullest. “Rest,” he says, “Will follow.” Talking about the approach of the company, Goel says, “In the next five years, HomePunch will not be just an e-commerce platform/ portal, but a go-to destination for any consumer/buyer and brand to buy and sell home and kitchen

appliances. It is this goal that makes

HomePunch nimble and choosy when it comes to talent.”

As of now, HomePunch has a team of 25 people with expertise in core appliances, e-commerce and SCM facilitates.

He further adds that the company’s mission is to deliver world-class appliances and a superior consumer value proposition. “Our aim is to bring everyone—from consumers to brands and people associated with the appliance industry—on one platform and redefine the way appliances are bought and sold.”

With over 300 nationally and internationally acclaimed brands on board, the company boasts a ready brand-authorised seller base. Additionally, it has more than 5,000 registered HomePunch e-tailers. The company offers multiple fulfillment options in over 4,000 cities and 5,000 towns.

A dedicated ‘Home Décor’ section will soon feature on the website for consumers to get insights into interesting and unique home décor ideas. The company intends to double the number of products from the current 25,000 within a year, making it the largest one-stop shop for anything in home and kitchen appliances category in India.
