Ventura Air Connect, a domestic airlines which operates in Gujarat, has announced that it will connect all cities of the state at a fare range from Rs. 3,500 to Rs. 4,000. The airline, which launched by offering connectivity between Surat, Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Bhavnagar, will expand its air base to every city of the state, Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Naithani said today. Earlier, the airline had announced to add Amreli and Bhuj districts to its destination list. “#VenturaAirconnect, 1st domestic airlines of #Gujarat to connect all cities of #Gujarat @Rs.3500 or Rs.4000 airfare!,” Tweeted Naithani.

The company had said that it will soon launch a special service connecting Surat, Ahmedabad and Rajkot to Shirdi. Especially, to cater to the devotees of Sai Baba. The company has also announced to offer a special service to Bhuj to cater to the Ranotsava festival that is organised in the Rann of Kutchh by the state tourism department. It should be noted that Gujarat has the largest number of air strips in the country and therefore, it has a good infrastructure for intra-state flight service. The company currently offers flight from Surat to Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Kandla.

The airliner, which initially started operating flights within Madhya Pradesh, shifted to Gujarat upon being acquired by a group of Gujarati diamond merchants in 2014. The company underwent a change in ownership and suspended operations in 2015. After winning a contract from the Government of Gujarat to start flights in the state, Ventura AirConnect resumed operations in June 2016. Currently, the company is promoted by four industrialists — Govind Dholakiya, Lalji Patel, Savji Dholakiya, and Lavji Daliya — who are into diamond and export business.
