CES Asia Set to Welcome Audiences to Premier Technology Event in Shanghai

With a conference program lineup featuring nearly 100 industry leaders and three full days of sessions, keynote speakers from the highest echelons of the tech industry, more than 20,000 pre-registrants and more than 200 exhibitors from 15 countries across Asia and the world, the inaugural CES AsiaTM is poised to be one of the most exciting and innovative technology events in the Asia Pacific region this year. Produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® and co-produced by INTEX, the 2015 CES Asia will run May 25-27 in Shanghai, China, and will draw global businesses to showcase the latest products and technologies entering the Asian marketplace.

The CES Asia conference program is one of the event’s major draws, bringing together industry executives for three full days of sessions to discuss the latest topics and product trends from the ever-evolving technology industry. Some highlights from the scheduled lineup include: “The Outlook for the Consumer Tech Market in China and the United States,” “The Future of Media in Asia,” “The Impact of the Internet of Things,” the “JD Smart Life Forum” and “The Wearable Tech Revolution.” A CES Asia conference pass is available to industry-affiliated attendees for 2000 RMB (roughly $323 USD) through CES Asia registration. In addition to robust conference sessions, top executives will deliver addresses at CES Asia through the keynotes and industry mover presentations, which are free to all industry affiliated attendees with a valid CES Asia badge. Some of the big names featured for the keynote series include Rupert Stadler, chairman of the board of management at AUDI AG; D.C. Chien, CEO of IBM Greater China Group; Kirk B. Skaugen, senior vice president and general manager of the client computing group for Intel Corporation; and recently announced, Sun Weimin, vice chairman of Suning Commerce Group Co. Ltd. These tech industry leaders will share valuable insights and under-the-tent stories from their own companies, as well as big ideas for the future of consumer technology.

 

Meanwhile, the industry mover series will provide exceptional insight into the next generation of technology from the visionaries responsible for introducing this future to the world. This series will feature Shailesh Rao, vice president, Asia Pacific, Latin America & emerging markets, Twitter, as well as Liang Jun, president of Le Shi Zhi Xin, a subsidiary of Letv.

 

Joining these top speakers, CEA President and CEO Gary Shapiro will deliver a welcome address at 10:30 AM May 25, at the Kerry Hotel, Level 3, Grand Shanghai Ballroom 2-3. During his career at CEA, Shapiro has testified on technology before the U.S. Congress more than 20 times, and through his two New York Times bestsellers and numerous op-eds, has helped direct policymakers and business leaders on the importance of innovation in the U.S. economy. Intel’s Skaugen will take the keynote stage at 10:40 AM following Shapiro’s address.

 

Last week, CES Asia announced more than 30 Industry Partners and Allied Associations participating in the inaugural event, representing all facets of the global consumer technology industry, from media outlets to financial and cultural groups. Industry partners include Sina, Bloomberg, China Business Network, Ifeng, JD.com, Sohu, Tencent, and more. Allied associations include China Audio Industry Association (CAIA), China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC), Shanghai Multimedia Industry Association (SMIA), and the United States Information Technology Office (USITO), among others.

 

Initially 20,000 gross square meters (8,500 net square meters), the CES Asia exhibit show floor has recently expanded by nearly 10 percent and will house exhibitors from 15 countries.
