YOU ARE going to see a lot of Madonna, Nikki Minaj, Lady Gaga and Julia Roberts in 2015. Not because they have signed a lot of movies or are planning world tours, but it’s more to do with new endorsement deals. These are the faces, and figures, that will be endorsing leading fashion brands in 2015, so expect to see a lot of them in magazines and television ads, apart from their own appearances as movie or music stars.
Madonna is the new face of Versace and will front their Spring/Summer collections. The whimsical and multi-faceted singer Nikki Minaj gets a sophisticated makeover for Roberto Cavalli, while the classy Julia Roberts will be the new face of Givenchy. There’s also the ubiquitous Lady Gaga, who is her usual bold and in-your-face persona in her appearances for Japanese beauty brand Shiseido. Typically, her advertisement campaign features a range of selfies she has taken for the brand’s new campaign launched on January 5. Evergreen beauty Julia Roberts has been photographed by two leading photographers, Matt Alas and Margus Piggot, in a series of black-and-white shoots, and later in colour, in a bid to reaffirm Givenchy’s Parisian roots and fashion aesthetic, but in a bold new upmarket avatar. Similarly, rapper and superstar Nikki Minaj has gone in for an elegant look for Cavalli’s Spring Summer ‘15 campaign. It features the designer’s stylish outfits with a touch of whimsy, which is perfectly suited for her public persona. Madonna’s latest shoot for Versace’s Spring 2015 collection shows her in a black-and-white campaign for the Italian fashion house, and is a testament to her ageless beauty and sex appeal.
