Mahindra Bolero that had lost its top position to Hyundai Creta in August, has regained it after two months. With a total sales of over 7750 units in October 2015, the Bolero displaced the Creta from the top-spot with a narrow margin of around 500 units. The Korean carmaker retailed 7,225 units of the Hyundai Creta in the same month.
Launched in July 2015, the Hyundai Creta became the top-selling SUV within the first full month of its launch. And with an average monthly sales of over 7,000 units, the Hyundai Creta is stil the top-selling SUV if sales of the last three months are put together. As against Mahindra Bolero’s 18143 units in the last three months, a total of 21,982 units of the Hyundai Creta were retailed in the same period.
Besides the Bolero, the recently launched Mahindra TUV300 is also generating volumes for the homegrown auto major. In its first month itself, the TUV300 outsold the Ford EcoSport, the only other sub-4 metre SUV in the country, by a great margin of 1200 units. In October 2015 as well, Ford could manage to sell 3,417 units of the EcoSport against the Mahindra TUv300’s 4551 units.
Mahindra XUV500 and Scorpio also managed to remain in the list top-10 selling SUVs for M&M.
