Atlas Copco to replicate Indian market growth

Ronnie Leten, president and CEO of the euro 11 billion Swedish company Atlas Copco says he wants to copy-paste the growth of business in India to every other market his company operates in. “If there is one country on earth that I want to copy everywhere in our business, it is India and I have been saying this to analysts globally since the last three to four quarters,” Leten said.

India is the fastest growing market for Atlas Copco globally and every segment here is growing at double digits, Leten said. Atlas Copco has a presence in 180 countries.

We are exporting more out of India than China, said Leten, who is also the chairman of Electrolux AB, the Euro12.4 billion appliance maker.

Atlas Copco has a bigger business in China which accounts for around 12% of the Group’s business while India accounts for around 6%.
