The editor-in-chief of Times Now and ET Now Arnab Goswami today resigned from his position. His decision came as a surprise, and for some, even as a shock. A report said that Goswami has taken this decision to start a new venture. Nothing can be speculated about that for new. For now, Goswami’s resignation may also have come as a relief for scores of his critiques. He has been attacked several times for his unconventional, or rather noisy, method of conducting TV news debate.
Noise apart, often he was successful in highlighting incidents of official apathy and corruption in the system. Recently in the wake of the Uri attack on Indian soldiers by Pakistani terrorists and the later surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army, Arnab was attacked by many for toeing a “hyper-nationalist” line.
There is no denying that Goswami had a huge following among Indian English news viewers. And the number of his fans outnumber the number of critiques by a huge margin. One doesn’t know yet what would be Goswami’s next venture. But people would certainly miss the daily Newshour debates on prime time hosted by Goswami. Here we are sharing 10 Newshour debates that Goswami’s fans would never forget.

Arnab Goswami: Fact versus Fact
Goswami has himself said on several occasions that the journalism he practised at Times Now was by no means conventional. His journalism was confrontational, “from the heart” and out to disrupt the TV news market. His style of journalism may be a subject of debate, but Arnab did disrupt the TV news market.
