Airbus Bizlab has selected four start-ups from Bengaluru and six from Hamburg in Germany for the Airbus business accelerators programme. Airbus offers projects to start-ups to support them through a six-month acceleration programme.
According to a statement issued by Airbus on Thursday, the selected start-ups will interact with a large number of Airbus experts from various domains (technology, legal, finance, marketing among others) and will benefit from a dedicated mentor. They will have office space and have access to prototyping and test facilities. A dedicated demo day with Airbus decision makers, partners, subsidiaries, customers and venture capital will also be offered, the company said.
The four start-ups selected from Bengaluru from 80 applicants in seven countries have been Blue Morfo, Shoonya, Open Turf and Qualitas.
Airbus Bizlab is a global aerospace business accelerator where start-ups and Airbus “intrapreneurs” (internal entrepreneurs) can work together to speed up transforming their innovative ideas into valuable businesses.
In November last year, Airbus inaugurated Bizlab in Bengaluru, its third after Toulouse in France. This was part of its strategy to establish a global network of aerospace business accelerators.
