Call it a demonetisation fallout or a real bad fortune. A 35-year old man standing in a queue outside a bank at Trimbak Road in Nashik got thrashed by the father and brother of a 23-year old woman who later claimed to be his ex-lover. The woman spotted her ex-boyfriend who walked out of a four years relationship, immediately informed her brother and father who came to the spot and allegedly started beating him in front of the public and bank officials. When the situation went out of control, the local police had to be called in. Later on her complaint, a case was registered against the man.Citing the full incident to the police, the woman said that she went to the bank to exchange her old currency notes where she spotted a familiar face and later recognised him to be his former boyfriend who ditched her. The complaint against the man was later filed at the Satpur police station where the woman said they shared a close relationship for four long years and since then are not in contact.

An official of the Satpur police station told NDTV that the alleged man was brought to police station for further questioning. He was bruised and we sent him to the civil hospital, the police official said further.

The police had registered a non-cognisable case against the man under sections 323 (punishment of voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intend to provoke breach of peace) a nd 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Court.
