Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh verdict fallout: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has been facing flak from several quarters, including Punjab and Haryana High Court, over his role in tackling the situation which had arisen during the sentencing of Dera Sacha Sauda chief. But BJP leadership was not considering his replacement, according to Indian Express report. BJP general secretary in-charge of Haryana Anil Jain ruled out any immediate action against Khattar, the report says. It has been learnt that Jain had a meeting with party chief Amit Shah yesterday.

BJP leadership is focusing on maintaining law-and-order and prevent Friday-like situation on Monday when the judge will announce the quantum of punishment against Ram Rahim Singh, IE report says. However, a senior party leader told IE that the central leadership would reveal its mind once the normalcy returned in the state.

Meanwhile, an uneasy calm prevailed today in Haryana and Punjab where curfew was relaxed at some places. There was no report of any violence in Haryana since yesterday even as security forces remained on alert. Relaxation in curfew was being given at various places where it had been clamped earlier, officials said.

Are you saying there is no one better in BJP to replace the current CM? It seems all the MLAs from BJP only bend in front of Dera chief. What a party and what governance!
