With an eye on the Uttar Pradesh polls, which is expected to be held early next year, the Bharatiya Janata Party is planning to organise Paritvartan yatra from November 5 in Saharanpur, Lalitpur, Sonebhadra and Ballia next month. According to a party leader, the yatra, which will culminate with a ‘Parivartan Sabha’ in Lucknow on December 24, will be flagged off by BJP president Amit shah in presence of host of other senior leaders.
Yatra will begin from Saharanpur on November 5. It will then reach Lalitpur on November 6, Sonebhadra on November 8 and Ballia on November 9, the Zee News has quoted Keshav Prasad Maurya as saying.PM Narendra Modi is likely to address Parivartan Yatra on its last day.
The Yatra is likely to help get feedback about a Chief Ministerial candidate, a decision which is yet to be taken by the party, It is expected to cover all 403 Assembly constituencies of the state.
The recent surgical strike by the Indian army on terrorist camps in PoK is likely to be one of the major issues during the yatra. Even after the prime minister’s caution against strikes, the issue has already been highlighted by the state unit of the during his visit to Lucknow a few days back.
Other key agenda of the rallies will be taking the feedback on the policies initiated by the BJP-led government at the Centre on schemes like farm insurance, power for all, LPG for BPL, Jan Dhan scheme among others.
