When Tejashwi Yadav was being questioned by investigating agencies in one of the corruption cases against him, the former Bihar Deputy chief minister said, “Mera naam Tejashwi Yadav hai, main ninth pass hoon” (My name is Tejashwi Yadav, studied till Class 9), an NDTV report said. The 27-year old was interrogated in Patna for close to seven hours on August 29 along with his mother and former Bihar CM Rabri Devi and his sister Hema Yadav. Tejashwi is named in a number of corruption cases along with his siblings and father Lalu Prasad Yadav, the report added further.
In the meantime, in yet another trouble for the Lalu Prasad Yadav family, a BJP MLC Suraj Nandan Prasad has filed a case against Tejashwi’s brother Tej Pratap Yadav in a court alleging that he hid details of land owned by him in his affidavit during the 2015 Bihar Assembly polls deliberately, said a PTI report. The court is slated to hear the case on September 22. The BJP leader had filed the case in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Om Prakash. Prasad, in his petition, alleged that Tej Pratap had “deliberately hid” details of land owned by him in Aurangabad in his affidavit while fighting Assembly election from Mahua in 2015. He also said that a motor showroom now functions from the property, which is in the name of Tej Pratap’s family’s company “LARA Distributors Pvt Ltd”, the report further said.
Deputy Bihar Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi earlier mentioned about Tej Pratap’s Aurangabad land during his series of expose of properties acquired by RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family through wrongful ways, PTI added.
