When Mohandas Pai and Harsh Goenka took to Twitter in row over Arnab Goswami’s new ‘Republic’ channel

On Sunday Harsh Goenka tweeted without directly naming about who owns the largest 'Pai' at Arnab Goswami's latest venture called 'Republic' channel.

On one hand was the chairman of a leading industrial group and on the other, a famous name in the corporate world and they were not exchanging pleasantries – far from it. Sunday evening saw a rather serious exchange on Twitter between Chairman of RP Goenka (RPG) group, Harsh Goenka and former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Infosys T V Mohandas Pai with the the former taking a jibe at the latter without mentioning any name directly but dropped enough of a hint about Mohandas Pai being one of the largest stakeholder in the famous journalist and television news anchor Arnab Goswami’s latest venture called, ‘Republic.’ Goswami had quit Times Now recently.

Goenka’s tweet was taken seriously enough by Mohandas Pai, who has been a frequent guest at Goswami’s flagship show ’The Newshour’. The reactions included the use of the word ‘liar’ as well as demands for ‘proof’. However, Pai later, in a separate tweet, admitted that he is a stakeholder but not the largest one.

The tweet by Harsh Goenka started gaining traction when other known faces like noted Supreme Court (SC) lawyer Sanjay Hegde also took part in the conversation.

On November 1, Arnab Goswami announced his resignation from all executive positions of Times Now and revealed that he is going to venture into something of his own. In his final farewell speech to the colleagues of Times Now, Arnab had revealed that he believed in independent media. It was earlier speculated that his venture will have an association with media tycoon Rupert Murdoch but no report has confirmed that.

Just days ago, the ace journalist told The News Minute that the new venture will be called ‘Republic’ and work is already on to get the venture up soon.

The attacking journalism introduced by Mr. Goswami.....but now I can prove through his debate itself, how decisive , judgemental , pro ruling government and of course biased in order to provide unintrupted time slots for those who carry different views against Mr . Goswami as well as ruling party in the centre. One more thing I would like share with Mr. Goswami conduct some very important and result oriented debate that must contribute India's economic, social and cultural upliftment as well as eradicate poverty from our country INDIA zindabad With my best wishes Abdul moid khan 9598423437
