In a major development, a BJP Member of Parliament Manohar Untwal and BJP MLA Gopal Parmar on Wednesday fell into a spat during party’s “Ekatam Yatra” in Madhya Pradesh. The incident that happened in full public glare, happened when the parliamentarian tried to snatch the flag that was being carried in their constituency. Some bystanders also clicked videos and photos of the incident.
As per NDTV website, the yatra was flagged off by state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in December. The yatra is being carried out in order to collect metal pieces for the Adi Shankaracharya statue that will be built in the state.
The yatra had reached Agar Malwa district, which is 200 km from Bhopal on Wednesday. While it was passing through Agar town, MLA Parmar was standing on the edge of the rath, holding the huge saffron flag. However soon, the parliamentarian decided that it was his turn to hold the flag, following which legislator asked him to wait. Soon, the parliamentarian ran out of patience leading to the spat between the two.
Last Saturday, a video showing clash between supporters for BJP MLA and another party MP over the blanket distribution of blanket in Uttar Pradesh went viral. It started when BJP lawmakers Rekha Verma and Shashank Trivedi were in Maholi Tehsil office in Sitapur in order to distribute blankets.
Supporters of both leaders had a tussle with each other while taking credit for the distribution. The parliamentarian was also slapping a man dressed in Khaki. She, at one point, also took off her slippers and tried to his adversaries. She could not reach them. Later SDM Maholi DP Singh said both leaders had reached a compromise. None of the leaders or their supporters gaive any application to file an FIR.
