We will discuss issues with Pakistan in terror-free atmosphere: Vikas Swarup, Ministry of External Affairs

Vikas Swaroop, spokesperson for Ministry of external affairs, today while addressing the media said that the meeting between India's BSF and Pakistan rangers was a regular one, and a consensus was reached.

Vikas Swaroop, spokesperson for Ministry of external affairs, today while addressing the media said that the meeting between India’s BSF and Pakistan rangers was a regular one, and a consensus was reached. For a second round of talk the Director General of Border Security Forces has invited DG Pakistan Rangers to visit India. On the Pakistan terrorist caught in Kupwara, Swarup said,”We are waiting for a full report from security agencies before deciding our next move.” Home Minister Rajnath Singh, will be representing India in Pakistan for the SAARC meeting to be held on August 4. He may submit documentary proof of Pakistan government or non-government involvement in terror acts in Jammu and Kashmir. Vikas Swarup a few days ago had said that “terror and talks cannot go hand in hand.” “India has never shied away from a dialogue with Pakistan, but talks and terror can’t go hand in hand.”

He said that India wishes to discuss all problems with Pakistan in a terror free zone. On the Mother Teresa’s canonisation issue MEA said that EAM Swaraj will lead Indian delegation to the Vatican. Other members are yet to be finalized. The MEA says, The PoK protests are a clear reflection of the fact that the citizens have do not want Pakistan’s exercise. “PoK sham elections were another farcical exercise by Pakistan to cover up their illegal occupation,” Swarup said. Talking about the Chinese issue he said ,”The visas of the three Chinese journalists had expired, we gave them short term extensions but after that it was not possible. He also confirmed that we have no issues with the replacements that will be sent for those journalists.”
