Union minister Mahesh Sharma today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was “another” Mahatma Gandhi who, like the father of the nation, had inspired many generations. The Culture Minister was speaking at the launch of a book on Gandhi’s salt satyagraha. “Today among us, we are fortunate to have another Gandhiji in the form of our prime minister who is like an inspiration,” Sharma said. The minister, while talking about Gandhi’s contribution to the independence struggle, noted that the salt satyagraha was not just about a pinch of salt, but about inspiring generations, something that the Prime Minister was also espousing.

“He (PM) started with the promise that the glow of freedom would reach every person in the country. His dream is to fulfil the dreams of Gandhiji. The Ministry of Culture is duty bound and committed to spreading his dreams and thoughts throughout the world for the sake of humanity,” Sharma said. The salt march, also known as the dandi march and salt satyagraha, was an act of nonviolent civil disobedience in colonial India, initiated by Gandhi in 1930, to produce salt from seawater in coastal village of Dandi. The book ‘Historical Background to the Imposition of Salt Tax under the British Rule in India (1757-1947) and Mahatma Gandhi’s Salt Satyagraha (1930-31) against the British Rule Background’ has been authored by Y P Anand, former Director, National Gandhi Museum.

Let us not compare Gandhiji with anybody else...it would be great if Mr.Modi can comment on the statement made by the minister in his cabinet.

He is not only Mahatma, he is mix of Nehru , Indira Gandhi, Patel, Abdul Kalam and all the leaders of past. Now we have to start building his statues everywhere OR else we will not remember who he was. Please allocate 10,000 crore from the tax payers money and start building.

Modiji is NOT a MAHATAMA nor a GANDHI EVEN IF HE CHANGES HIS Name to Gandhiji. Secondly his good "FREEND" Mr Amit Shah STATED that Mahatama Gandhiji was NOT A GOOD MAN. DESPITE what Amit Shah Thinks about our Dear Father of the Nation Gandhiji who was Killed by a RSS follower a great favorite of Nathuram Gaodse of Mr N Modiji .FOR these Reasons MODIJI CANNOT BE A SECOND or Third Gandhiji. our Modiji deserted his family and Wife to lead BJP /RSS down the road of" NO WHERE", He has not be able to deposit those 15 Lacs, Nor has he brought back BLACK MONEY nor the RETURN of Vijaya Mallya, Lalith Modi . PLEASE LEAVE father of the Nation Gandhiji ALONE. GOD BLESS GANDHIJI . JAI BHARATMAMAs
