The Union Home Minister of India, Rajnath Singh who is on a visit to the Indo-Pak international border in Barmer district of Rajasthan said,”We never open fire first, but if attacked, in retaliation we never count the bullets after pulling the trigger.”
The statement by Rajnath Singh has come as a big encouragement to boost the morale of the armed forces. A statement issued by the Press Information Bureau quoted Singh, “India never attacks anyone and we do not intend to occupy others’ land. Our heritage is ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, meaning the whole world is one family.’ …we never open fire first, but if attacked, in retaliation we never count the bullets after pulling the trigger.”
Rajnath assured the BSF personnel that the proposal for constructing safety walls and ring bunds on the periphery of battalion headquarters and border outposts would be examined. Earlier BSF authorities have also requested to reconsider the issues of camouflage uniform being unconfortable which will also be considered, said the Home Minister.
