Stating that an atmosphere of suspicion has been created regarding the Vyapam scam, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said it is the government’s responsibility to clear all the doubts of the people.
“An atmosphere of suspicion has been created; it is the government’s responsibility to clear all doubts of people,” Kumar said.
Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court had agreed to hear a petition against Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav to ensure a fair inquiry in the Vyapam scam.
The matter is scheduled to be heard on July 9.
The Vyapam scam involved the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or Vyapam, which holds the exams for positions like medical officers, constables, teachers and auditors for government departments.
The candidates allegedly bribed government officials to make it to the list of those who cleared the test.
