Reacting to the news that spoke about his presence at the ICC Champions Trophy’s India vs Pakistan match in Edgbaston, the liquor baron Vijay Mallya has lately took to Twitter and has once again slammed the media by calling it ‘sensational’ and has dared that he intends to attend all the matches to cheer team India. In a tweet posted early morning on Tuesday, Mallya wrote: “Wide sensational media coverage on my attendance at the IND v PAK match at Edgbaston. I intend to attend all games to cheer the India team.” Television cameras spotted a suited Mallya, relishing under the sun, sitting in the VIP stand and enjoying the match. Later he was also seen with former Indian team captain Sunil Gavaskar.
Mallya also hailed team India captain Virat Kohli for his splendid performance in the match. He tweeted, “World class player World class Captain World class gentleman @imVkohli . Bravo Virat.” Mallya, who is currently accused in various financial default cases of Rs 9,0000 cr and have fled to the United Kingdom, was spotted in the stands on June 4 during the India vs Pakistan ICC Champions Trophy Group B match held at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Mallya has been declared an absconder in India.
