Greater Noida rape case: In a horrific incident, a group of five criminals attacked a family on Jewar-Bulandshahr highway last night, raping four women while one of the family members was killed in the incident, according to multiple reports. The incident is a grim reminder of last year’s tragedy in which a woman and her daughter were dragged out from their car and raped while they were travelling from Noida to Shahjanpur in Uttar Pradesh to attend a funeral, ANI said.
According to the report, the man was shot dead by criminals for resisting their assault on the women. The family was also robbed. They have been sent to a hospital in Noida for medical examination.
The criminals, who had a country-made pistol, iron rods and knife with them had allegedly intercepted the car at around 1:30 am. The report further said that police have filed an FIR in the case.
