The Line of Control near Uri, which was was under attack by terrorists on Sunday saw the death of 17 soldiers. 4 terrorists were also killed in the gunfight that ended in the border of North Kashmir’s border town this morning. Leaders across the world condemned the attack while Indian government said that strong action will be taken against those who are responsible.
Indian celebrities and sportspersons alike joined in the mourning of the loss that engulfed the entire nation on Sunday. Bollywood stars such as Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan went on Social networking site Twitter to express their grief and anger at the death of 17 Indian soldiers. They also hoped that the terrorists would be brought to justice soon.

Sportspersons in the country of deeply condemned the cowardly act of terrorism that shocked the country on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Uri attack review meeting is underway. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh chairs the meeting as Minister of Defence among other officials are present to discuss the attacks and take action accordingly.
