Bahujan Samaj Party Supremo on Monday alleged that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi introduced demonetisation drive just before elections so that other political parties like the BSP are rendered powerless. In the Sultanpur rally on Monday, she slammed Modi’s speeches and claims during Uttar Pradesh elections. She also called him an ‘anti-dalit man’. “A Dalit’s daughter should travel in a helicopter, he (Modi) doesn’t like it. That is why declare demonetisation drive just before elections, so that BSP becomes penniless,” says Mayawati. “Dalit ki beti helicopter mein ghoome, inko achha nahi lagta,inki mansa thi notebandi election se pehle kardo, BSP kangaal ho jaaye,” said Mayawati in Hindi.
In Orai today, Modi took a dig at Mayawati saying, “Behenji (Mayawati) said the government had not prepared properly. Whether the government had not prepared, or you?… They (including Mulayam Singh Yadav) said if the government had given one week, it would have been better. They have complaints against note ban because they didn’t get time to prepare.”
