Rejecting the proposal of the BJP-led NDA Government to build the Ramayana based museum in Lucknow, it’s former state unit president Vinay Katiyar has said that it was just a lollypop to impress upon those who want nothing but the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
He also demanded that the proposal a be brought in Lok Sabha for the same as the BJP in a majority there. Union Tourism Minister Mahesh Sharma reached Ayodhya on Tuesday to inspect the site for construction of the museum.
Rejecting the opinion that building of the museum was proposed to appease the Hindu hardliners, Mahesh Sharma said the Centre’s proposal has got nothing to do with the Uttar Pradesh poll which is due early next year.
The decision to build the construction of the museum was followed by the announcement of Samajwadi Party Government in the state of the building of Ramayana-based theme park in Ayodhya.
On Monday, BSP supremo had criticised both BJP and SP saying that the constructions of museum and theme park are being donee with eyes on polls.
Supporting her opinion, Congress leader and former Union minister R P N Singh also accused the BJP of invoking Ram months ahead of state polls because of political reasons.
