Terrorist attack on CRPF camp: Two people have been injured after terrorists attacked a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tral, ANI reported. The incident amid reports of heavy firing and mortar shelling from Pakistan’s side. As per ANI, Pakistan army initiated indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 6.45 PM along LoC in Krishna Ghati sector. Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively, ANI added. This is the second incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan army in the day. The Pakistani troops had started firing of small arms and automatics earlier this morning as well. Earlier on Sunday, the Pakistan troops had violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Naushera sector. Pakistan army initiated indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics, and mortars in Naushera along the Line of Control (LoC). In Sunday incident, Pakistan initiated indiscriminate firing at around 12:40 p.m. and exchange of gunfire has continued on and off since then.
The Pakistan Rangers had, earlier in the day, violated unprovoked ceasefire on forwarding Border Security Force (BSF) troops in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramgarh sector at 10.45 a.m. The firing on BSF Jawans continued for about 45 minutes. No injuries or damage was reported. During exchange of fire, Pak Rangers also fired a few small mortar shells. The intermittent fire continued till 1045 hours. Earlier this month, Indian Army said five Pakistani soldiers were killed and some others injured in the retaliatory action in LoC belt of the Nowshera and Krishnaghati sectors.
Earlier, some reports had said Pak troops were targetting civilians LoC in Krishnaghati and Balanar areas of Poonch district triggering panic among the area dwellers. It was reported that residential areas and hamlets are on the target of Pakistani forces.
