Great move by both countries. The US and India are natural partners in the region. India would do well to act swiftly to capitalize on the Trump Administration's overtures.India has a host of enemies at its borders and working with the U.S. at full speed is both paramount, let alone essential. The U.S. in turn gains a strong local ally in this region. No more obfuscation or terrorist infested safe heavens, as we have seen for so long in the region. A rising India is also good for the U.S., as both countries are democracies at the core and have a shared set of key values and the rule of law.
