As Surgical Strike politics escalates, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala on Monday slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s bid to gain political mileage from the Indian Army’s sacrifices.

Speaking at a press conference, Randeep S Surjewala said, “We demand that PM Modi, Amit Shah apologise to nation and Army for politicising surgical strike”

Congress claimed BJP made political statements and undermined the Indian Army. Expressing gratitude for supporting Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s ‘khoon ki dalali’ comment, the Congress party thanked Akhilesh Yadav.

“BJP is playing politics with martyrdom of our soldiers, they are looking for electoral gains in Punjab & UP,” said Congress

Condemning the government for not implementing One Rank One Pension, as the Army would have it, Congress Party said, “Just want to ask PM Narendra Modi that why has he turned ‘one rank, one pension’ into ‘many ranks, many pensions”

The Congress Party accused BJP of humiliating the Army and sacrifices made by their families through frivolous politics. Citing examples of commando attacks launched during UPA government’s time, Randeep Surjewala said, in our time, the government never tried to take gain political mileage.
