Rita Bahuguna Joshi today exposed the lies of Congress party after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She attacked the Congress for doing politics over surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army on terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Congress leaders had claimed that the surgical strikes were fake. Even Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi had accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of doing ‘dalali’ over the blood of brave Indian soldiers.

Joshi said it was wrong for the Congress to create doubts in the minds of people over an operation carried out by the Indian Army.

“No one is beyond the nation. When one of the biggest parties of the country raises doubts over surgical strikes, what would be the impression of the country in the world,” she said.

“When the whole world has accepted that we carried out surgical strikes, I didn’t like it when Cong and other parties questioned it. Words like ‘khoon ki dalali’ were used by Congress leaders. I was very sad hearing it,” Joshi added.

Rita Bahuguna Joshi, now former senior Congress leader in Uttar Pradesh, today formally joined the BJP in presence of party president Amit Shah in Delhi.

Joshi joining BJP is being seen as a big jolt to Rahul Gandhi’s campaign in UP to revive the fortunes of the Congress in the state.

Joshi also attacked the Samajwadi Party for looting the state, saying that SP has destroyed the entire state.

In past, Joshi had been very critical of the BJP. However, today she said, “I took the decision to join BJP as it is in the interest of the country.”

“There is no alternative to Modiji and BJP if Uttar Pradesh has to develop,” she said adding, “BJP and Modiji really want to take India forward on the path of development. I would do everything in my capacity to make BJP win in Uttar Pradesh.”
