Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday held an all party meeting to discuss the ongoing violence in Kashmir which erupted after the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani. On August 10, Rajnath Singh had declared that an all-party meet would be organised on the last day of the Monsoon Session. Talking about the meet, Congress said that it had many problems with the steps taken by the government regarding the issue, but would still support if it brings normalcy in the state. Narendra Modi in the meet said that India will not tolerate Pakistan’s interference in Indian domestic affairs. India threatened to expose Pakistan’s atrocities in Balochistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) regions.
The valley has been witnessing unrest since the killing of Hizbul terrorist Burhan Wani. It has been more than a month of curfew in the Valley. The Home Minister said in the Rajya Sabha, that Pakistan had sponsored that the violence in Kashmir; a statement which was supported by Jitendra Singh, MoS Prime Minister’s Office also. Reiterating the salient points of PM Modi’s speech at the All party meet, Rajnath Singh said that people from PoK and Balochistan living in other countries should be asked and atrocities in their regions to expose Pakistan in front of the world community. While some have welcomed the address, many have found this to be a stunt. Here is how Twitter reacted:

You can never win in any negotiation if you are starting from point of weakness. This has been the major problem for India on Kashmir issue
