After a lot of hullabaloo on whether Pakistani artists should be allowed to work in India after the constant attacks by Pakistan, actor Irrfan Khan broke his silence on the matter. Pakistan has been infilterating militants in Indian regions and violating ceasefire constantly and this has evoked staunch reaction against Pakistani artistes working on Indian grounds.
The actor who is known for his smart choice of roles and even better portrayal of them, in an interview with Times Now said that ties must not be maintained with a country that disturbs our nation.
The Madaari actor said that it’s the government’s call at the end of the day.
‘How can I give my take on their behalf? Ask them to speak up.’ Khan said on the Pakistani actors’ silence on the matter. The Pak artistes have been criticised for not speaking up against the Uri attacks even when they come and work in Indian territory.
Irrfan said that the media should ask government why are they allowing it to happen.
Khan added ‘The government gives them the permission. They should stop giving visas to them. All means of trade and communication should be stopped if this has to stop. The government must be having better views than me and they only have to take the decision.’
