Continuing her long and old political battle, former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today took a dig on CM Arvind Kejriwal’s comment that 90 per cent of IAS officers do not work. Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Dikshit said: “Kejriwalji, Delhi has some of the most efficient bureaucrats. They helped me tirelessly in achieving my goal of transforming Delhi.” Yesterday, Kejriwal, while speaking at a function organised to felicitate pensioners of the Power Department, alleged that the IAS officers “obstructed files” of development works.

Congress leader and AICC spokesperson Pawan Khera also hit out at Kejriwal saying, “With the same bureaucracy @SheilaDikshit changed the face of Delhi. A poor craftsman blames his tools.”

The Delhi Chief Minister has said: “I sometimes feel that the development was stuck up at the Secretariat.” Kejriwal said: “Ninty per cent of them (IAS officers) do not work and hold up the files,” He said, “When I proposed regularisation of contractual employees, all the officers opposed me. They said if regularised they won’t work. I said, if this is the logic then all the IAS officers should be ad-hoc because they do not work,” the chief minister said, as per PTI.

Earlier this year, Sheila Dixit has said that Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has no respect for the constitution, according to India Today. On Kejriwal’s comment that the elected government does not have the powers to govern Delhi, Dikshit said if he thinks that elected chief minister does not has power to govern then why he chose to be CM of Delhi.

“He is one who became the Chief Minister, he came with the thumping majority. You know, he gave all kind of false promises to the people, but he needs to work under the framework,” she added as per India Today.
