The Congress on Tuesday condemned Kailash Vijayvargiya’s remark comparing actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha’s act of meeting rivals with that of a dog chasing a car and said he was surprised that no action had been initiated yet against the BJP general secretary.
“It is a very shameful comment. Though Shatrughan Sinha doesn’t belong to our party still he is a very senior actor, even in the Bharatiya Janata Party he is a senior leader. People of Bihar love him,” said Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed.
“I am shocked the BJP has not taken any action against him,” he added.
Congress leader Rashid Alvi also condemned Vijayvargiya’s remark.
He, however, added that it was an internal matter of the BJP.
Soon after Sinha met grand alliance leaders Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad Yadav and congratulated them on their victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, Vijayvargiya yesterday compared the actor-turned-politician’s act with that of a dog chasing a car.
“A party is not run by one person, it is a group, there is a chain,” he added.
