Sandeep Kumar video: Soon after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kerjiwal received a CD at his office, Aam Aadmi leader Sandeep Kumar was sacked from the party. The CD contained a nine-minute video that shows Kumar in “a compromising position with two women” in addition to some photographs. Announcing the dismissal of Kumar, Kejriwal on Wednesday tweeted, “Recd “objectionable” CD of minister Sandeep Kr. AAP stands for propriety in public life. That can’t be compromised,”
Following the dismissal of the AAP member, BJP will today hold a demonstration at Delhi Chief Minister’s residence from 11 am onwards.
According to sources, the AAP convener had possessed the CD days befor but only took an action once the media broke the news. Defending the AAP government, Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that Kumar was sacked within half-an hour of receiving the CD and that the party will not tolerate any allegations of corruption or impropriety. “AAP works with a zero tolerance policy”, added Sisodia.
AAP leader Kumar Vishwas said the party had always adopted a zero tolerance policy. “The AAP always implements ideals of purity and cleanliness in public life. It is very sad that such allegations have surfaced. Even earlier, whether it was a matter of corruption or crime, the firmness AAP has shown is commendable,” he said.
Kumar is the third AAP member to be sacked after Asim Ahmed Khan, who was dismissed over allegations of corruption and Jitender Singh Tomar over allegations that he had submitted fake degree certificates.
